Hami se hai jamana 22

Asaramji Bapus love for his ‘Sadhaks’

ashram,asharamji bapu

The kindness of an innocent saint incarcerated in a “fake& bogus” assault case, who climbs up the barricade to give darshan to His numerous disciples

ashram, asharamji bapu, vyas, jodhpur jailIndia is well-known for its cultural values and high regard for saints and sages. On the occasion of full-moon day of Guru Purnima (also known as Vyas Purnima), thousands of devotees gather at the feet of their Sadguru (The “True Guru”) for attaining The Eternal Bliss, regardless of the castes & families that these great souls (Sadgurus) were born into. To quote some famous examples from history, Meera Bai, the Rajput princess, who was supposed to be the queen of Mewar (Rajasthan) went at the feet of Saint Raidas, who was a cobbler by profession (and was generally addressed as “Raidas Chamhaar”) to attain that “divine bliss”; Saint Kabir (generally addressed as Kabir Das ji) was a cloth-weaver by profession and till date there are lakhs of Kabir-Panthis following him, RamaKrishna Paramhamsa was a priest and had hardly been to school, but had numerous well-read disciples of rational mind, that included Swami Vivekananda, Dr. Nag Mahashaya and many scientists, philosophers, educationists and the likes .

In the present era, we have been blessed with many saints, of whom I am particularly talking about the one who is reported by print & electronic media as an “accused”, despite the truth being oblivious in this matter. I would like to bring to the kind notice of so called intellectual reporters and biased media personnel as to how a mob of hundreds of thousands is not controlled by the administration when the saint (allegedly reported as an accused), is charged with an assault case with a minor and no bail is granted, gather at the occasion of Guru Purnima near jail premises or court premises where their Guruji is inflicted in frivolous cases and the proceedings are still on and on…

They sit near the place adjacent to the jail or court, bow their heads, pray for Him, for His good health and release. They drop some tears, collect the particles of soil which is fragranced with His presence and become priceless and return homes with glow on their faces, with just a glimpse of their beloved Guruji.

Why is it so that this mob is not given any materialistic goods or favors as in the case of leaders? Nobody can buy their emotions and tread according to political interests. This crowd of devotees (satsangis) is selfless, self-disciplined, looking for His mere one glance and that’s all for them at this holy occasion of Guru Purnima. They pray every night, every morning with this only hope that He will be with them out of all burdens of court proceedings, and they will enjoy the nectar of His discourses (satsangs) once again…

With never say die attitude they gather near the Court every week, every fortnight, every month and despite being disappointed by the judiciary’s decision all the time, they wait again, they pray again, they sob silently, enchant name of the God and its glory in the said territories, keep patience; and are all still helpless at the occasion when they hear no good news from judiciary of His bail or release.

Their indwelling god personified as Guru in Saint Shri Asharam Bapuji realizes the pain of thousands of hearts and despite His morbidity, in His old age, He jumps like a child before His disciples on the wall, just to assure them that everything will be alright and that He will come soon. Have you ever heard a criminal consoling all his near and dear ones? A criminal begs for his release and whatever Bapuji says with his presence or by words releases one out of Birth and death circles.

These days even parents can’t be sure of their own child (ren) obeying them, but Bapuji’s numerous children (disciples) obey Him notwithstanding whatsoever criminal proceedings He is ensnared into. He is calm, composed and when he says that the Truth will triumph and the truth will come out soon, then all His disciples are forced to believe that He will come out soon.

The fact that a particular editor charged in a sexual assault case gets bail and Bapuji is still in the jail, annoys millions of His devotees; but they calmly wait, as Bapuji has assured them that the truth will come out soon and they will wait until the conspirators are forced to believe that they were at fault to misunderstand Bapuji as an ordinary man.

It takes no time for a saint like Bapuji who gave mantra to his inmates, who, on sincerely chanting it, were released on bail or acquitted as the case may be; to come out of jail having Himself proved as “innocent”. But He is still in jail for the reason that a number of innocents are trapped in fake cases and their lives are ruined in the lengthy judicial proceedings. It is high time when judiciary and legislature need to review the infrastructure of our system and check as to whether or not they are sufficiently equipped to prove innocent’s innocence or needs some improvisation.

No matter what judiciary decides upon, but Bapuji’s disciples will not abandon their hopes and He would never let them alone. One (Bapuji) who can stop or start rain in the present era where thousands of His intellectual and rational-minded disciples with scientific approach are evident of the incident, cannot be manipulated by conspirators’ tantrums and thus His disciples would go to Jodhpur until His release every month, every Purnima.

May God bless our judiciary and legislature enough to realize as to how to treat a saint and not to bother Him for so long and take initiative setting aside the fake, purchased evidence and prove His innocence soon so that Bapuji doesn’t have to jump and climb up a barricade in front of His devotees in a helpless manner to see His children at the occasion of Guru Purnima or any other Purnima for that matter.

Guru-Purnima – A festival that awakens the glory of our own Self

guru punam,ashram,asharamji bapu,

“Man is lost and is wandering in a jungle where real values have no meaning. Real values can have meaning to a man only when he steps on to the spiritual path, a path where negative emotions have no use.” Sai Baba, a great Indian saint, once quoted these words that are bringing in meaning in existing times, when people are getting so busy in the hustle-bustle of their day-to-day routine lives and re-tracing their steps away from the spiritual journey.

To a large extent, especially Hindus attach paramount importance to spiritual Gurus, as they are the ones who are often equated with God and always regarded as a link between the individual and the Immortal. Just as the moon shines by reflecting the light of the sun and glorifies it, so do the disciples dazzle like the moon by gaining inner wisdom from their Gurus.

The Indian culture is so strong with a close love bond with each other that it never forgets to express its gratitude towards the one sacrificing for the sake of humanity and mankind. Since spiritual Gurus spend their lives serving the mankind, in reverence and gratitude towards their kindness, Guru Purnima is celebrated, being observed on the full moon day in the Hindu month of Aashaadha (July-August) every year. This Purnima is said as the one which destroys one’s sins, unites one with God and gives perfection. This is the day sacred to the memory of Maharshi Veda Vyasa, the great Indian saint who edited the four Vedas, wrote the 18 Puranas, the great epic ‘Mahabharata’ and Srimad Bhagavata. Apart from being the first day of ‘Manwantara’, it is the day on whichMaharshi Veda Vyasa completed ‘Mahabharata’ and started writing the first philosophical scripture of the world –the ‘Brahmasutra’. The period ‘Chaturmas’ (four months) begins from this day, when Lord Vishnu is said to go in sleep and hence no auspicious events are undertaken in these four months and vows for observing vratas, yajnas and anushthanas are taken.

Such is the glory of Guru Purnima.

vyas, ashram, asharamji bapuThis day is also known as Vyas Purnima, a pious festival overflowing with the pristine fragrance of such sanskaras. One of the key objectives of Guru Purnima or Vyas Purnima is to make ones way of living well-organized. One should not become slave to pleasures and should not be overwhelmed by grief; nor should one be anxious about death, because one can never die. Guru Purnima carries the message that if one worships his Guru on this day, he not only gets the fruits of observing all Purnimas in a year but also that of worshiping all Gods and Goddesses. On this auspicious day, disciples, followers and devotees from all across the world try their best to reach the holy place of their Guru anyhow..

The word ‘Guru’ is extremely powerful while darshan (i.e. even a “sight”) of the Guru and His blessings are regarded as highly beneficial for the disciple. The Guru treads the way, walking on which one can resolve all sorrows, tensions and discomforts and head towards a better life. Without a Guru, one cannot get the right and fruitful knowledge. It’s rightly said that,

Eesh kripa bin guru nahi,

guru bina nahi gyan,

Gyan bina aatma nahi,

gavahin ved-puraan”.

That’s why even the lords who took birth in this auspicious planet also went on to Guru’s feet to attain the real knowledge of the self.

It is said in the Hindu scriptures: All our religious practices like yajnas, vratas, japa, austerities etc. practiced in our previous lives become fruitful on the very day on which our Guru is satisfied with our behavior, sincerity and loyalty. When the Guru is assured of the worthiness of His disciple, He showers His grace instantly, which leads to self-realization.

The disciple worships his Guru by doing Mansik Pooja (i.e. mental worship) of his Guru and reciting the following mantra:

Gururbrahma ,Gururvishnu ,Gururdevo Maheshwarah.

Gurursakshyaat Parambrahma ,Tasmai Shriguruve Namah.

i.e. “Guru is Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. The Guru is the Ultimate Absolute Substratum, the Supreme Brahman Himself. Salutations to that revered Guru.”

Sadguru’(a “True Guru”) transforms our base intellect that makes us go round through the cycle of birth & death into the Consciousness full of Truth and teaches the disciples the art of remaining unattached and selfless while performing ones duties in this material world. The grace of such Sadguru eradicates the root cause of our ignorance and cuts off the bondage of birth and death and gets us established in our own Self.

One of the greatest Sadgurus of the present time is: His Holiness Sant Shri Asharam Ji Bapu who has millions of followers and is called as “Bapu Ji” by his loved ones. This great saint has been travelling around the length and the breadth of the country to impart spiritual wisdom to the masses – preaching his followers to lead the life in a way that would ultimately take them to self-realization. He insists on taking a niyam (precept) in life that would help individuals slowly and gradually attain the goal of realizing the immortal soul. Bapu Ji says to his disciples, ‘Give me your beliefs and your ego; and I will fill your heart with the experience of True Self.’

The organization Shri Yoga Vedanta Sewa Samiti led by Bapu Ji, has been involved into numerous philanthropic activities round the year. Serving the poor and disadvantaged sections of the society, the samiti has always been working for the sake of humanity and mankind. Right from providing initial support during natural disasters to calamities, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, or any other mishap, the organization has always been ahead to reach the affected areas and serve them with food, clothing, shelter, medical facilities and much more.

According to the Hindu scriptures, spiritual wisdom is acquired through the Guru-Shishya Parampara (the infinite succession of Gurus) alone. As one lamp is lit at the flame of another, the spiritual knowledge is transmitted from the Guru to the disciple. The living great saints alone can enlighten others. In the pious company of the Sadguru the intellect of a disciple becomes more receptive, his vices are eradicated and he gets relieved of years long exhaustion.

We thus need Sadgurus who can elevate the society with their precepts combined with their pious resolves, self-experience and compassion and thereby strengthen the faith of the people in God. Therefore, pious festivals like Guru-Purnima are very important. We wish all the readers a very happy Guru Purnima on this auspicious day and pray to the almighty that disciples develop a stronger bond with their Guru which would lead them to Self Realization.
